Crystal Bow Tie Bracelet

I started making jewelry and selling it in 2004.

Probably the typical way, I bought some kits and put those together and then advanced to making some necklaces.

After a bit I realized that I had way too many pieces of jewelry so I tested selling them on ebay. That was a nice intro but not very profitable.

A co-worker suggested that I sell on Etsy so I did. Then I started my own website and discovered Artfire when it was first in development. I was one of the test businesses.

In the meantime on the home front I discovered a local area portal website and registered as a business with the site. From that I was contacted by a guy that was developing the website for an interview because I was the first business to sign up. KL Jewelry Design was featured on MOAP (My Omaha Area Portal) and Donnie sponsored me at my very first craft show.

That was it, the fever caught and I’m proud to say that KL Jewelry Design has a number of repeat customers and I attend about every show I can.

Rescently I decided that in order to separate myself from the hobbist and distinguish KL Jewelry Design as a serious business I signed up with the BBB and KL Jewelry Design is an Accredited Business with the BBB. You can read my reliability report at www.kl-jewelrydesign.com and click on the Accredited Business logo.

Now I do a lot of wire work and attend more jurried events than a typical craft show. Don’t get me wrong I love the craft shows but around the Omaha area the market is flooded with people making jewelry.

So all that said just to show off some of my work.
