How to Make a Leaves Pattern Friendship Bracelet (by Beyond Bracelets)

Friendship necklaces imageThis leaves pattern friendship bracelet video by Beyond Bracelets is really easy and fun to make.

You could easily use this same technique to make an awesome choker too. (I explain how at the end of the bracelet instructions further down the page).

Whether you want to make a bracelet or a choker, watch the video below to see how to make the leaves pattern.

Thanks so much for the cool video Beyond Bracelets! We’ll be featuring more of your videos in the weeks to come 🙂

What You Need to Make the Leaves Pattern Bracelet:

  • Embroidery floss or yarn in different colors. The example bracelet in the video uses 5 colors.

Strings should be about 65 inches long then folded in half to make a double.

    Set Up: 1 2 3 4 5 -5 4 3 2 1

You may use as many or as few strands as you want, the method will be the same. You may also use fewer colors by doubling up. Ex: 1 2 1 2 3 – 3 2 1 2 1 or some other variation.

Work from the middle and follow the video above.

Make a Choker Using the Same Leaf Pattern:

To make a choker, start out the same way as the bracelet, making sure you leave a big loop. When you make the strip of cloth long enough, thread a bead through the end and knot it. To tie it around your neck, string the bead through the loop. See an example of this closure below on a hemp choker I made.

    Bead Closure

Don’t have a bead? Use a big fat old knot. Just tie a knot using all the strands and use that instead of a bead. See an example of this closure on my hemp bracelet pattern here.
