How can I extend a 3-strand pearl necklace?

I need about 2 inches. It has a hook and barrel clasp.

Extending A 3-Strand Pearl Necklace

Get a chain that matches the necklace as closely as possible by size and gold or silver.

Attach 2 inches or desired extension length to the end of the clasp using O rings.

Find a heavy guage wire to make jump rings (match colors though.)

Make enough rings with chain nose pliers to the length you need.

Chain together and afix to the pearls at the hook end. Close last chain with a pearl or trinket.

Chain extension made.
