How can I demagnetize beads to use with metal findings?

I’ve tried the small ceramic demagnetizers but no success.

Can you help?

How to De-Magnetize Beads?
by: Anonymous

I like to shine that hits the magnetized beads but they are very hard to work with and to wear. If there is an easy way to de-magnetize beads please let me know.

De-magnetize Beads

I believe that magnets are demagnetized by using heat. If you put them in the oven at a certain temperature (which I don’t think is above 300 degrees F) that will demagnetize them.

However, I would Google the question and see what answer you get.

How to De-magnetize Beads

If your beads are shiny black beads, I believe they are made of hematite which is a naturally magnetic stone.

I doubt if it can be totally de-magnetized, but you might try dropping each bead to see if that mixes up the alignment of the atoms.

De-magnetizer

There is a de-magnetizer for screwdrivers etc. that you can get from the hardware store. I do not know how well it would work on the magnetized beads. You’ll have to try it and see.

How to magnetize beads

Sorry but I don’t know where to go to ask a question. I am new to this site.

I would like to know how to magnetize beads.
Hematite beads and other kinds like pearls.
I see that on line they sell magnetized pearls.
The most important is the hematite.

Thank you so very much.
