I’m trying to make a necklace that has a string of marble slab beads with chain on either side. The only thing I’m not sure of, is how to connect the string on either side to the chain to make it look, well, neat and professional. I was thinking crimp beads but I’m not sure if that is the proper way. Any info would be great!

Attaching Chain To A String Of Beads
by: Anonymous

I do it this way: put a crimp bead at the end of your string of beads, run string through a thread protector, pull crimp up towards the protector, make sure both ends of one end is in crimp and as close to the protector as you can get (without slack),crimp it and add a crimp cover (shaped like C).

Then add a ring to the protector and the chain to the protector too.

Do the same thing on the other end of beads. Make sure your chain is equal in inches on both ends as you will need to attach a clasp, closure of some kind.

Hope this helps.
