Macrame Wrap Stone Without Hole
by: Deirdre

I’ve been searching for instructions on how to make a ‘macrame net’ or collar that wraps around a stone, without hiding the stone.

When I Googled ‘macrame wrap for stones’, a picture of stones wrapped in macrame and wire popped up. It looked like an opal with brown and pink macrame holster around it, with a gold swirl on the top. Very pretty.

That is fancier then I was thinking of, but would like to know how to do that, and how to wrap a natural stone, a rough aquamarine in macrame.

Thanks

Metal String
by: Anonymous

Use metal string!

You need to wrap string around stone (frame the stone with the string) but double it, so stone won’t fall out.

Then do the square knots with both strings so the metal string is in the middle.

My English is bad, but I hope you understood. 🙂

Stome Without A Hole

Asking how to tie a stone WITHOUT a hole.

It’s a flat round stone and I don’t want it covered with strings, just around the edge.

Do You Have A Picture Of What You Mean?
by: Christine Gierer ~admin

I’m not sure what you mean about tying a stone.

Do you have a picture of what you mean? Maybe you could give me some links of something similar.

Square Knot Around Bead or Stone
by: Anonymous

Well, do you know how to do the square knot?

Make a couple square knots and when you are ready to use the stone or bead just run the two middle strings through the hole of the stone/bead then do a square knot directly beneath the stone or bead.

If you pull too tight the sting will cover more of the stone, if you do it more loose the bead or stone will have room to move around.
