I’ve been using open jump rings. I try not to open them any further than I have to. But when it comes to closing them, I can never get the gap completely tight and how the little clasp finds its way out happens too frequently.

The gap is so small, it’s hard to try to put it back in. I get it as tight as I can, but I’m never able to close the gap completely.

So, for now I’ve been dropping a little solder on it. So, what am I doing wrong? Are some jump rings (The nicer ones, not cheap ones) easier to close the gap COMPLETELY?
