The forward backward knot (FB) is a combination of two knots, the forwards knot, and the backwards knot. Makes sense, right?
This knot is one of the basic knots used for friendship bracelet making. The other basic knots are the forward knot (sometimes called a right-travelling knot), the backwards knot (left travelling), and the backward-forward knot.
If you are familiar with macrame, you might know the FBknot as a left travelling half-hitch knot, followed by a right travelling half hitch knot.
Forward-Backward Knot (FB):
This knot starts with the first loop of the forward knot and ends with the backward knot. This means that the thread on the left will stay on the left when the knot is completed.
